Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This privacy policy explains what data the "DVB-T Compass: TV Finder" mobile app uses and how it is processed.
1. Data controller
The controller of personal data processed in connection with the app is DAVISOFT sp. z o.o., ul. Konarskiego 22, 38-500 Sanok, Poland, entered in the National Court Register under KRS 0000874114, NIP (VAT ID) 6871972749, REGON 387713266. Contact: biuro@davisoft.pl.
2. Data used by the app
Location (GPS) is used solely on your device to calculate distances and azimuths to transmitters and to centre the map. It is never sent to our servers and is not stored after you close the app.
The compass (magnetometer) is read locally to show the heading. Manually entered coordinates and saved points are stored only on your device.
3. Network requests
The app downloads transmitter databases from api.h3j.pl, map tiles from openstreetmap.org and elevation data from open-meteo.com. Like any web request, these include your IP address and the coordinates of the requested map area. The app uses no accounts and no analytics tools.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version displays ads served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC). To serve and measure ads, Google may process your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, device information and ad interaction data. Depending on your consent, ads are personalised or non-personalised.
In the European Economic Area and the UK a consent form (Google UMP) is shown before ads appear. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → "Ad privacy options". Legal basis: consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for personalised ads; legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for non-personalised ads.

5. Removing ads (in-app purchase)
Ads can be removed with a one-time purchase processed entirely by Google Play or the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card data; the purchase is linked to your store account.
6. Permissions
Location — required for distance, azimuth and compass features (the app works with a sample location if denied). Internet — required to download maps, transmitter data and ads.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO). Data processed by the app itself stays on your device — you can erase it by uninstalling the app.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
Updates to this policy will be published in the app and on this page.
